The sandwich value proposition: Subway vs. Quiznos

Subway vs. Quiznos: Subway runs all over Quiznos on price, they always have, always will. Worse still, Subway commands the mind share through years of effective advertising (including the sucessful ‘healthy’ eating campaigns). Quiznos, then, needs to produce a much better product: baked, full of better meats and produce, and a better dining experience. None of these happen. The same poor attention to quality occurs at Quiznos as it does at Subway, only it happens a little slower (fastest, and worst, sandwich making I’ve ever seen occurs at Subway on Richmond and Spadina in Toronto: you pay *while* they are asking you what you want on your sandwich). Quiznos needs to rearrange their consumer proposition.
