SNIP: Leave the car in the driveway today and come down to Dundas Square for the Sierra Club of Canada’s Car Free party in the heart of our city’s concrete jungle. Between 10am and 2pm, Yonge St. from Dundas to Shuter will be a pedestrian zone, where you can learn about car heaven, have your fortune read and fix your bike while sipping fair trade coffee. For those of you who want to feel more revolutionary in the effort to help people with their addiction to cars, I suggest the ride with Critical Mass on Friday night or hosting a parking meter party during the official World Carfree Day on Saturday afternoon. martinho_bike_2.jpg Critical Mass meets Friday night at 6pm at the corner of Spadina and Bloor. It’s simple to join, show up on your bike and celebrate the ride.
